A fine 8 X10 inch Maurice Seymour photograph of the Italian tenor, boldly signed and inscribed in the week of his Metropolitan Opera debut, in which he sang the role of Edgardo. In the final two weeks of 1938, beginning with Lucia (Edgardo), he sang two performances each of Tosca (Cavaradossi) and Aida (Radames). A NY Times review of that week's Tosca noted that Masini "was a sympathetic Cavaradossi. He seemed at ease in the role and his fresh, ringing voice was heard to advantage. The Metropolitan may consider itself fortunate in the possession of another real tenor."
