No copies recorded in Worldcat.\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv style=\"\"\u003e\u003cbr style=\"\"\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv style=\"\"\u003eWalter Hasenclever was a German Expressionist poet and dramatist whose work was \"a protest against bourgeois materialism and the war-making state.\" (Encyclopedia Britannica)  His 1926 play \u003ci style=\"\"\u003eEin besserer Herr\u003c\/i\u003e, published in English as \u003ci style=\"\"\u003eA Better Master\u003c\/i\u003e and in Russian as \u003ci style=\"\"\u003eДельцы, \"что надо\" \u003c\/i\u003e(\"Businessman, What Do You Need?\"), was Hasenclever's first social satire and proved to be a critical and financial success and he adapted it into a successful silent film in 1928, directed b\u003cspan style=\"\"\u003ey Gustav Ucicky\u003c\/span\u003e.  When the National Socialists seized power in 1933, his works were banned and burned, so the writer fled to Nice.
