Borge, Victor. (1909–2000). Recital Broadsheet. Charming single-sheet broadsheet program advertisement depicting the beloved pianist and comedian in a tuxedo, carrying a Steinway Piano-shaped briefcase.  The insert advertises an upcoming recital at Symphony Hall in Boston on Friday, March 1, 1963.  In very fine condition.  6 x 9 inches (15.2 x 22.9 cm).

A child prodigy, Børge Rosenbaum studied with Olivo Krause at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and was later under the tutelage of Frederic Lamond, himself a student of Liszt. Fleeing Denmark for the United States in 1940 during the German occupation, Rosenbaum took the name Victor Borge and, speaking no English, adapted his comedic routines for a new audience, finding great success on radio and television.
