A scarce AMQS from the great French-born, Swedish violinist. A student of H. Leonard and Garcin, he toured as a prodigy, performing in Vienna (under Richter) at age 10 and in London at 14. In 1908, he succeeded Joachim as violin teacher at the Hochschule in Berlin. In pencil, he has written the opening two measures of the Brahms Violin Concerto, signed an dated 13.1.30.
