ALS from the British dramatist and librettist best known for his 14 comic operas written in collaboration with composer Arthur Sullivan, to an unidentified recipient (H.C. Marillein?) regarding a forthcoming meeting.  February 10, 1905, 52 Pont Street, 1 pp., 8vo, on blue paper: "Dear Sir,/ I shall be pleased to see you here on Monday at 11.15 (if that hour suits your schedule) to discuss the matters mentioned in your letter of today’s date./ Faithfully yours,/ W.S. Gilbert."  Light toning along edges, mounting remnants to verso, else fine.  8 x 7 inches (20.3 x 17.8 cm.).

Provenance: The estate of J.D. McClatchy (1945-2018), American poet, librettist, literary critic, and former president of The American Academy of Arts and Letters, Stonington, CT.
