Moore, Gerald. (1899–1987). Autograph Letter on Postcard Photograph, regarding an important early performance with Ellen Beach Yaw.
Postcard photograph of the beloved English pianist and accompanist, with a signed autograph letter on the verso by Moore and with a facsimile signature on the recto. In full: "I did accompany Miss Ellen Beach Yaw once only at her London recital in the year 1924. But I have never been to California so it must have been someone else who accompanied Maggie Teyte on this occasion. I was a boy when I played Miss Yaw, + her concert was a great stepping-stone for me and led to other big engagements." In very fine condition. 3.5 x 5.5 inches (9 x 14 cm). Signed photographs of Moore are rare, this is a particularly intriguing example.
