A remarkable original engraved program for the "Festival Leo Delibes" presented on February 14, 1885 by the "Societé des Concerts de Geneve" under the direction of T. Graviere. 1page, 22 X 33 cm. The engraving features an elaborate musical scene, columns adorned with garlands, a standing figure etc., all of which frame the concert program dedicated to the works of the important French ballet and opera composer. Delibes himself directed a large group of 180 performers in this enormous program featuring some of the "greatest hits" from "Le Roi l'a Dit," "Coppelia," "La Mort d'Orphée," "Lakmé," "Sylvia," "Jean de Nivelle," and "Le Roi S'Amuse." The composer has boldly signed in the bottom margin: "A mon ami Bergalonne, Souvenir du 14 Fevrier 85' Leo Delibes, Geneve." Together with a fine gravure printed portait. The two, truly stunning and ideal for display.
