Inscribed piano score for mature works by the composer who studied with Massenet and Franck.  Score includes four dance movements for piano: Dédicace, Sarabande, Pavane, and Forlane, inscribed in ink on title page: "à Camille Chevillard / cordialement / Ernest Chausson."  Upright folio, constituted of unbound bifolia within slightly larger wrappers.  11 x 14 inches (28 x 35.5 cm).  [PN] E. B. et Cie 296.  20 pp.  Wrappers with light staining and toning, overall in fine condition.

Chevillard was a director of the Concerts Lamoureux, also known as the Société des Nouveaux-Concerts, which had been founded by his father-in-law, Charles Lamoureux in 1881; first as its choral director in the mid-1880s, and then as its deputy director in the late 1890s while Lamoureux was on tour.
