Autograph letter from the German pianist, pedagogue and composer to a former student, with a portrait of Kuhe mounted inside the folded sheet. December 15, [n.y.]. Kuhe writes: "It is always a great pleasure to feel one is not forgotten by one's old pupils. [...] I still can play the piano and pass many hours at my beloved instrument. Of course I remember very well the school you were at, and remember you also by your maiden name." He signs, "W. Kuhe." 2 pp. of a bifolium, with a small clipped portrait mounted on the facing internal page. Toning to the portrait; otherwise fine overall. 4.5 x 6 inches (11.3 x 15.5 cm).
