Signed postcard photograph of the French operatic composer, inscribed at the head to the soprano Yvonne Gall as "her thankful admirer." The composer is shown seated in a portrait by photographer Henri Mauvel, and has signed across the center of the image. Undated [ca. 1908–1912.] Poor contrast to the signature itself, but otherwise in fine condition. 3.5 x 5.5 inches (8.8 x 13.5 cm).
Yvonne Gall made her debut at the Paris Opéra in 1908 in Wagner's Götterdämmerung, before going on to specialize in French lyric roles. She was particularly known as Manon in Massenet's opera.
