Four hundred people came to hear Heifetz, Iturbi and Tibbett and an extra five thousand dollars was contributed by Mrs. George Backer. Lucrezia Bori sat herself up in the very first row and conversed volubly with the performers. Chico Marx bought four tickets and brought along Mrs. Eddie Cantor and Jack Benny. [...] There was a funny incident connected with the concert. Somehow everyone thought that the other fellow had invited Professor Einstein to attend.
