Pencil on paper, mounted on card and covered in plastic and a paper mat (could easily be removed.) His drawings of theater, opera, ballet and film celebrities appeared in \u003ci style=\"\"\u003eVariety, Backstage, The Philadelphia Enquirer, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe\u003c\/i\u003e and many other publications. He is best-known for his long tenure providing theatrical illustrations for the \u003ci style=\"\"\u003eNew York Herald Tribune \u003c\/i\u003e(1940–1956) and covering performing arts for the \u003ci style=\"\"\u003eDaily News \u003c\/i\u003e(from the 1950's to the 1980's.)
