Rosé is shown playing his instrument in great concentration, his face, hands, and violin portrayed in greater detail, while the rest of the image is loosely sketched. Plate measures 16 x 16.8 inches (40 x 42 cm), sheet size 20.5 x 17.3 inches (43 x 52 cm). Heavily toned and foxed, but nevertheless a very striking image.
