The important French-born Swiss dancer, choreographer and opera director Maurice Béjart choreographed several works for Nureyev in the early 1970's, including his version of "Le Sacre du Printemps" and the moving duo "Songs of a Wayfarer," which Nureyev danced together with Paolo Bortoluzzi.
