Sarasate, Pablo de. (1844–1908). "Jota de San Fermín" - Autograph Musical Quotation. A lovely AMQS from the important Spanish violinist-composer, on a handcolored postcard of the Capilla Real in Granada. Sarasate has penned the first seven measures of the beautiful violin theme from his Jota de San Fermín (op. 36), with the indication that it should be played on the G string, and signed at the corner. On the image itself, he has dated: Paris, December 23, 1904. On the verso, the postcard is addressed to the Argentinian collector Ramona Imaz Otaño in Buenos Aires, with the original French stamp and postmark. Slight foxing and a crease to one corner; overall in fine condition. 5.5 x 3.5 inches (13.9 x 9 cm).
