Lee, Gypsy Rose. (1911 - 1970). Typed Letter Signed to George Leonard. Typed letter to "George," signed by the celebrated burlesque performer, actress, author, and playwright, thanking him for flowers and offering to send him some photographs for a story in Look magazine.  The letter is addressed to George Leonard, a senior editor at Look from 1953 to 1970, and is dated February 12, 1958, as Lee was enjoying her rise to fame: her memoir had been published in 1957, and the Sondheim musical based on it would premiere in 1959.

Typed inside a small folded card printed with Lee's name and address.  Slight wear and smudges; otherwise in fine condition.  10.1 x 15.6 cm.
