Rosenthal, Moriz. (1862–1946). Signed Postcard. Graphically interesting postcard signed by the great Polish pianist and student of Liszt, who has inscribed his signature over a staff with a treble clef. With an attractive illustration of a flower on one side, the postcard is addressed to Frl. L. F. Heimz in Vienna, stamped and postmarked June 5, 1913. Another hand has added an address and a scrawl in pencil. In fine condition. 13.6 x 8.6 cm.


Moriz Rosenthal studied with Liszt for 9 years and was one of the most important pianists of the late 19th and first half of the 20th century. A regular sonata partner of Fritz Kreisler, he toured frequently and left some fantastic recordings.
