An interesting autograph letter from the great Hungarian violinist, dedicatee of the Brahms Concerto and many other works. 2 pages, in German, signed "Joseph Joachim," 2 Jan., [1877]. Addressed to Herr Eglinger, Joachim proposes a lengthy concert program to include either the Beethoven Violin Concerto or the 7th Concerto by Spohr, his own Adagio for Violin No. 2 in A Major, a Sarabande and Tambourin by Leclair, and the 3 Hungarian Dances by Brahms.
