Signed photograph of the important French bass whose repertoire included nearly 240 roles and who was widely regarded as one of the great singing-actors of the 20th century. 7.5 x 9.5 inch Dover Studios of London photograph, inscribed to Paul Althouse (1889 - 1954), important American lyric tenor: "A l'eminent artiste Paul Althouse / tres cordialement / Vanni-Marcoux / Chicago - 1932." A few tears along the left edge, repaired from verso with tape and otherwise in very good condition.
