Uncommon signed photograph of the Italian violinist of ephemeral fame, known as the ‘violin fairy.’ Original 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet photo by Schaarwachter of Berlin, signed on the recto and signed and inscribed with a lengthy inscription on the reverse to her Doctor in purple ink, and dated 1888. Scattered surface marks to the image, a small area of staining to the reverse, and ink marks crossing out a first attempt at the inscription, otherwise fine condition.
