An uncommon early autograph and inscription from the important violinist, signing "Wolfi Schneiderhan" at the age of 16 on a page dated London, 1931. 3.75 x 5 inches (9.5 x 13.5 cm).
Schneiderhan was the first Concertmaster of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra (1933-37) and later led the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, all while maintaining an active solo and chamber career. He performed as soloist worldwide, and after Georg Kulenkampff's death in 1948, he replaced him in the famous piano trio with Edwin Fischer and Enrico Mainardi. Later he founded the Lucerne Festival Strings and was married to the soprano, Irmgard Seefried.
