In a very rough translation it reads: \"My beloved Gerladine Farrar from her old [printed signature within the engraving] all thanks for her loyalty, Salzburg 1926.\" 12 x 15 inches, matted and framed without glass to slightly larger. The engraving is slightly foxed and there is a spot just above the inscription, but is very presentable and truly a historic association.\u003cbr style=\"\"\u003e\u003cbr style=\"\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"\"\u003eLehmann sang in the first \u003c\/span\u003eBayreuth Festival\u003cspan style=\"\"\u003e in 1876, singing in the first complete performances of \u003c\/span\u003eThe Ring Cycle\u003cspan style=\"\"\u003e as Woglinde and Helmwige. She performed in \u003c\/span\u003eLondon\u003cspan style=\"\"\u003e in 1884, and appeared at the \u003c\/span\u003eNew York Metropolitan Opera\u003cspan style=\"\"\u003e in 1885–1899. Together with her Met colleagues \u003c\/span\u003eFischer\u003cspan style=\"\"\u003e, \u003c\/span\u003eAlvary\u003cspan style=\"\"\u003e, \u003c\/span\u003eBrandt\u003cspan style=\"\"\u003e, and \u003c\/span\u003eSeidl\u003cspan style=\"\"\u003e, she helped to popularise \u003c\/span\u003eWagner\u003cspan style=\"\"\u003e's music in America.  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"\"\u003eShe was also a noted voice teacher.
