An interesting early and highly stylized engraving depicting a lute with an hourglass resting on it. A single sheet from the 1617 volume "Emblemes Nouveaux" by Andreas Friedrich, painter and engraver to whom around around one hundred engravings can be attributed (Benezit). Light stains around the edges, some small wrinkles and creases, overall very good. 6 x 8 inch (14.5 x 19.5 cm).
