However, he was also widely known for his arrangements, often for piano four hands, and he arranged at least three Mozart Operas as such.   \"His arrangement as a piano sonata of Weber's Clarinet Quintet won him some notoriety, for Weber protested vigorously (AMZ, XVIII, 1816, SUPPL. X - XI), drawing attention to serious alterations in the music.
