Solid bronze portrait medal by Elisa Beetz Charpentier (1875 - 1949). 50 mm (2 inches); 70 grams; 5 mm (edge/relief). Ravel is shown in profile looking to the right. The verso shows a musical excerpt with two frogs hopping onto the staves, referencing the composer's "Histoire Naturelle" on the poems of Jules Renard. With the artist's monogram lower right both sides, recto with the year MCMXXX. In very fine condition. CGMP Vol. 3, p. 36; Niggl 1654.
