A fine chromo-lithograph caricature of "The Abbé," published in the English weekly magazine Vanity Fair on May 15, 1886. The elderly Liszt is shown standing in profile, his hand inside his jacket, and with a kind smile on his face. The portrait is by Sir Leslie Ward, known as "Spy," the most famous of the outstanding caricaturists who published in the magazine. In excellent condition, 15 x 10.5 inches. Framed in tiger eye maple to 17.25 x 11.75 inches.

A check drawn on the National State Bank of Camden, dated Nov. 2, 1887, for thirty dollars and no payee, signed by Whitman pasted inside the front board, in dark green publisher's cloth and gilt lettered spine, rubbed, a bit shaken, boards worn, the check with tears in the center, and a little brown discoloration from the glue.
Autograph letter from the great muse and wife, successively, of Gustav Mahler, Walter Gropius and Franz Werfel. 1 pp. Dated August 22, 1950. Boldly penned in her customary lavender ink. "Liebau, Please send my 2nd letter back to me, so that I can type and return it completed! I will presumably be in NY at the end of Sept. and will bring the scores with me. I embrace you, Alma." Usual creases, in fine condition.

Vintage concert-used tambourine apparently used in performance by the American folk-singing trio whose career lasted nearly 50 years. Signed in black felt tip by Peter Yarrow, Noel Paul Stookey, and Mary Travers. Nicely mounted with a vintage promotional photograph and in fine condition.
Bold autograph from the great French chanteuse, neatly affixed to the lower left corner of a 10" Columbia LP "Chansons Parisiennes, Volume II." The signature card taped at upper right corner and along the lower edge, with tape stain also along the left edge. Card, measuring 9 x 5 cm, could be easily removed, though we find it attractive in its present relation to the design of the LP cover.

Group of three paper LP Album sleeves each signed by a great pianist. In fine condition, and including some newspaper clippings and concert programs from Massey Hall (Toronto, Canada) where these were obtained.
Lot of signed photos, programs, and signatures from classical pianist greats, ranging in size from 2.5 x 2.5 to 8 x 10, each signed in ink by the respective musician. Signers are: Robert Casadesus, Eileen Joyce, Sascha Gorodnitzki, Rudolf Firkusny, Lubka Kolessa, Yolanda Mero, George Thalben-Ball, Myra Hess, and Arthur Rubinstein. In overall fine condition, with some light creasing and toning, and irregular ink adhesion to Hess’s signature, which is also a bit light, but completely legible.
