Autograph Musical Quotation from "Elijah."

AMQS from Mendelssohn's Elijah, penned by Baker in blue ink on a piece of thick white paper, 3.5 x 3.5 inches. Light crease along right margin, slight smudge to end of quote, overall fine. Sold together with a postcard photograph.

An unusual item from the British baritone and conductor, who toured with Albani and who was, at his height, regarded as Great Britain's finest baritone.

A rare New York City Ballet Program, boldly signed on the front cover by dancer/choreographer George Balanchine, as well as by eight of the great principal NYCB dancers who created some of his most important dances: Jacques d'Amboise, Edward Villella, Arthur Mitchell, Patricia Wilde, Melissa Hayden, Allegra Kent, Nicholas Magallanes, and Francisco Moncion. The August 27, 1959 program included performances by these dancers and others of Balanchine's "Swan Lake," "Allegro Brillante," "Apollo," "Western Symphony," "Pas de Trois (Glinka)," and "Stars and Stripes." In very fine condition, highly unusual to find all of these signatures together.

Autograph Letter Regarding "Peter Pan."

Fine autograph letter from the Scottish Novelist and creator of Peter Pan. Signed "J M Barrie," one page, 8vo, Strand, London, 15th September 1926, to R. Golding Bright. Penned in a more legible hand than is usually encountered, Barrie writes: "I think that arrangement for Peter Pan at the Winter Gardens Theatre this year would be good, Miss Dickson to be Peter, and in these circumstances they could have the play for this year at flat royalty of 10%." Accompanied by the original envelope hand addressed by Barrie. Two file holes appear in the upper edge of the letter, not affecting the text or signature; both the letter and envelope are neatly inlaid to separate mounts and are in very fine condition. 13. Bauer, Harold. (1873–1951).

A superb original signed doubleweight Matzene photograph of the wonderful English musician, who began as a successful violinist and later had a major career as a pianist. A student of Paderewski, he premiered Debussy's "Children's Corner" and after settling in the US, founded the Beethoven Association and taught for many years at the Manhattan School of Music. Boldly signed. 7.5 x 9.5 inches, in very fine condition.

Facsimile of the two-page manuscript of Beethoven's song "Ich Liebe Dich," which was later owned by Schubert, who wrote music on the blank pages, after whcih it passed to Brahms, who added his signature.
