Original doubleweight Carlo Edwards photograph of the longtime Metropolitan Opera conductor of the German repertory (1915 - 1939), a Zemlinsky pupil who was Mahler's assitant in Vienna. Boldly inscribed and signed " To Mr. Siegfried Kahn with my fondest wishes / Arthur Bodanzky / Febr. 1931." Very fine, raised stamp of the photographer lower right. 7.25 x 9.25 inches [18.5 x 23.5 cm].

Siegfried H. Kahn was a member of the famed New York Bohemian Club and a famous host of musical parties in the 1920s and 30s. (9930)
