A very good impression. 429 x 467 mm; 16 7/8x18 3/8 inches, wide margins. Signed in pencil, lower right margin. Small stains and toning to margins, mounted, overall a very good impression with fresh colors. Archivally mattted and framed.The current work was originally intended as part of a collaborative series with Jacques Villon and is based on the gouache work, in the collection of Yale University, of Bonnard's (1867-1947) studio interior at Le Bosquet. Bonnard and Villon collaborated on a series of color lithographs, 10 lithographies de Pierre Bonnard, based on Bonnard's gouaches, from 1942-46 (see Bouvet 116-126). (9849)
