Signed Cabinet Card Photograph at Age 20, inscribed to violin maker Paulus Pilat

A very uncommon early original Langhans of Prague cabinet photograph of the twenty-year-old Czech virtuoso violinist, signed and inscribed to the important Hungarian violin maker Paulus Pilat and dated Budapest 18/I. 1900. Mounting traces on verso, lower corners nicked, overall fine. The earliest signed photograph of him we've seen. 4 3/8 " ( 11 cm.) x 7 1/2 " (19 cm). (9576)
