A beautifully penned lengthy AMQS, signed and inscribed "Souvenir amical a Mr. Wittering / Le 8 Avril 1865. Paris" from the illegitimate son of composer Charles Auguste de Beriot and Maria Malibran. A student of Thalberg, he later taught at the Paris Conservatory and counted among his pupils both Ravel and Granados. 26.5 x 16.5 cm, on paper with an attractive decorative border.
