Napoli:: Tipografica Flautina. 1819, 1820, 1824. Four early librettos produced in Naples and bound together in vellum with red leather spine label. Each one lists original production credits, including singers, set designers, costumers, musicians, etc. 15 x 9 cm. Bound as follows:

Two bookplates on front endpapers and earlier owner's name on first two title pages; a few closely trimmed pages; one paper defect in leading edge of the sheet. Overall, a nice copy.


Rossini's "La Gazza Ladra" was first performed in 1817 at La Scala, Milan, but he revised revised it for subsequent productions in Pesaro in 1818, and for the Teatro del Fondo (Naples) in 1819 and the Teatro di San Carlo (Naples) in 1820. (9179)
