1893 "Rudolfsheimer Bürgerball" Dance Booklet
An original small "Tanz-Ordnung" booklet, bound in silk and with a tiny pencil held at the edge, the pages printed in gilt with the evening's dances to be performaed at Karl Schwender's casino in the suburb of Rudolfsheim (today, the 15th District of Vienna). The booklet contained in an ornate brass box with tassle, chain and hook for affixing it to one's dance-hall finery. The evening's waltzes were primarily by Strauss and Ziehrer. The booklet measuring 4.5 x 4.5 cm, the case slightly larger. A rare survival in amazing condition! (9043)Ephemera Dance
