"Sonate à quatre mains" - Autograph Manuscript

Autograph manuscript of a sonata for four hands, believed to be his Opus 15, dated Frankfurt, May 1803. Cover, 24 folio pages, comprising the movements "Allegro moderato," "Adagio," and "Rondo: Allegro molto," each scored on opposite facing pages for use by the performers, entirely in Berger's hand in dark ink, including a number of cancellations and corrections. In very good condition, slight staining at upper right corner barely affecting the manuscript, edges a little rough, else fine.

An interesting manuscript from the German pianist, composer, and piano teacher, himself a student of Clementi, who numbered Mendelssohn, Taubert, Henselt, Dorn and August Wilhelm Bach among his own pupils. (8955)
