Bronze Medallion by J.F. Antoine Bovy, issued on behalf of the Théâtre Italien, 1844.

This medallion, regarded as an excellent likeness of Liszt, shows him in profile to the right with his name engraved around the circumference. The obverse is inscribed "Concerts au Théâtre Italien. Paris 1844." 2.5cm in diameter.


Liszt performed solo recitals at the Théâtre Italien on the 16th and 25th of April, as well as on May 4th, under the direction of Berlioz. (8874)
