Illustrated with 97 striking full-page photographs of depression era New York by Berenice Abbott, produced for the Works Progress Administration. Signed and Inscribed on the title-page: "To Karin / from / Berenice / 1954 / October." Lacking the scarce dust jacket, rebacked, corners nicked and boards somewhat soiled and stained.Condition issues notwithstanding, a rare signed copy of this extremely scarce and important book.
