A very unusual 1978 photograph of the great dancer together with the leading ballerina of Les Ballets de Muppet. With press clipping and multiple stamps, markings on verso, caption reads: "The World's Greatest Ballet Star, Rudolf Nureyev, Was The Muppet's Guest Star This Weekend -Sam The American Eagle Was Ecstatic That At Last The Show Was Introducing Some Culture And Insists That The Muppets Wear Tails And Ties, But Sam Was In For A Shock-Rudolf Surrendered Himself To Muppet Zaniness And The Result Was His Pas De Beux With A 500~~ Pig To "Swine Lake" An Encounter In The Sauna With Miss Piggy To "Baby It's Cold Out There" And Finally He Dons "Top Hat -White-Tie And Tails" For A Song And Tap Dance To A Famous Number.
