1950's R&B superstar Dinah Washington and her band sign a publicity photo. Across her dress, the ''Queen of the Blues'' inscribes: ''To Debie / Fondest wishes & Good luck / Dinah Washington''. Bassist Keter Bettes inscribes the upper left: ''To Debie / may your future always be Happy / Keter Bettes'', and drummer Jimmy Cobb takes the opposite corner: ''To Debie / Best of luck / Jimmie Cobb / Drums''. Glossy photo measures 8'' x 10''. A tiny crease is present to the border at upper right corner, else near fine.



Despite her early death, Washington is generally regarded as one of the most influential vocalists of the twentieth century. (8496)
