Exceptional vintage 4 x 6 inch original photograph of the composer, inscribed and signed in fountain pen in 1935 to Louise Rorimer-Dushkin (1911 - 1996), wife of violinist Samuel Dushkin (1891-1976), the celebrated American violinist (of Polish birth), important collaborator of Stravinsky and dedicatee of his Violin Concerto.Playfully inscribed "Pour Louise R...(our D?) / son jeune ami / I. Stravinsky / Paris le 6 VIII 35." Signed by the photographer in white ink lower right corner. In fine condition, an exceptional association. (8444)
