Signed Beethoven and Bach Piano Concerto Recording

Superb bold autograph signature and inscription ("For Alice with all warmest wishes Sincerely Glenn / Nov. 59") in blue ink on the verso of the 1957 LP jacket for his celebrated Columbia recordings of the Beethoven 2nd and Bach D Minor concertos with Leonard Bernstein and the Columbia Symphony Orchestra. Corners dinged, else fine.



Gould had made his New York orchestral debut in 1955 with the New York Philharmonic and Leonard Bernstein playing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2 .



The recipient of the autograph, Alice Carr, worked at the Steinway & Sons showroom in New York City. Signed recordings from the reclusive pianist are very scarce. (8406)
