A fine Albert of Munich cabinet photograph of the composer and pianist seated at the keyboard flanked by violin virtuoso Remenyi and an unidenfied man. Mounting traces to verso, some moderate staining around the edges.The figure in the image has in some early scholarship been misidentified as the young Brahms, but not only does it not look like Brahms at the time of his visit to Weimar, but Liszt is dressed as he was while known as the Abbé, evidently mid-1860s at the earliest.
