The inside blank front cover inscribed in blue ink, likely in the hand of Marta Casals, with the 8-line text of "Choral 21-23: 53 (Psalm 375, Paul Gerhardt 1607–1676)" and signed below by Pablo Casals. In very fine condition, with light toning around the edges of a few pages. 7 x 10 inches (17.8 x 25.5 cm).

A most unusual item from the great Spanish composer, conductor, and cellist, one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, also well known as a humanitarian and very closely connected to the music of Bach. (7987)
