Original Concert Program of “The Peerless Violinist”

Concert program from a Tuesday, February 27, 1917 performance of the great French violinist in Hartford, Connecticut. The concert included Mozart's Sonata no. 30, Geminiani's Suite in D minor, and pieces by Faure, Wienawski, Vieuxtemps, and Ysaye. Ysaye was accompanied at the piano by Maurice Dambois, who also played two cello solos. 24 pp. Some light toning, overall fine. 6 x 9.5 inches (15.5 x 24 cm).

Carl Flesch called him "the most outstanding and individual violinist I have ever heard in my life," and he was the dedicatee of many major works from Debussy, Saint-Saens, Franck, Chausson and others. (783)
