Original signed portrait of the Austrian/American pianist whose Schubert and Beethoven recordings are beyond compare. Original pencil bust portrait boldly signed and dated (16. II. 1933) in black ink by Schnabel and by the artist "Beacon" in pencil, upper left. 3.5 x 4.6 inches. In fine condition with mounting remnants on verso, an unusual example.His teacher, Theodor Leschetizky, once told him: “You will never be a pianist. You are a musician.” (7496)
