Autograph letter from the great dancer and choreographer - one of the major inovators of the medium. In this brief but interesting letter she writes that "To work is the only life in this sad life," and signs "Isadora." Monte-Carlo, n.d.. To a friend, apparently the Italian poet and novelist, Gabriele D'Annunzio (1863 -1938) [originally in a collection of his correspondence]. 1 p. 8vo, letterhead of the the Hotel de Paris.
