Oblong 4to sheet, in ink, written by the composer on eleven staves across seven measures. Trimmed following the final measure and with the left edge rough and with two small binding holes, overall in very good condition.

A substantial sketchleaf from an unidentified orchestral work by the Italian composer whose development of operatic structures, melodic styles and orchestration contributed significantly to the foundations upon which Giuseppe Verdi built his dramatic technique. (7191)
