Original pencil caricature portrait of the the eminent Russian conductor, composer and double-bass virtuoso. Best remembered for his long tenure as Music Director for the Boston Symphony Orchestra (1924-1949), he founded the Tanglewood Festival and was mentor to many American musicians, including Leonard Bernstein and Aaron Copland.
The portrait signed by the artist, Epstein and boldly signed by the conductor. 24 x 34cm and in fine condition. (7009)
