Autograph Musical Quotation - Bach Third Cello Suite

Boldly penned AMQS from the great Spanish composer, conductor, and cellist, one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, also well known as a humanitarian.


Casals has penned the opening 2 measures of the Bach Suite No. 3 in C major, BWV 1009, identifying it as "Bach Prelude" and signing below in full. On a card measuring 3 x 2.3 inches laid down to an 8 x 10 inch sheet with a mounted sepia halftone portrait of Casals and additional similar images on the verso. (6949)
