[String Quartets] Flonzaley String Quartet (1902-1928)

A superb original 1917 signed oversize Apeda of New York photograph of the important string quartet. Inscribed in fountain pen ink: "To Mr. Henry E. Vogels with kindest regards, New York, Feb. 1916. 'The Flonzaley Quartet.'" Each member of the quartet has then signed beneath the image: Adolfo Betti, Alfred Pochon, Ugo Ara, Iwan d'Archambeau. 34.5 x 41.5 cm. The largest one of them we've seen!The great quartet left numerous marvelous recordings and were the comissioners of Stravinsky's "Three Pieces for String Quartet," among other works. (6866)
