Beautiful original photograph of the young English violinist seated with her instrument. Boldly signed and inscribed ca. 1910. From an album compiled by Julia Wilmotte Henshaw (1869 - 1937), English-Canadian botanist and journalist. In fine condition, 14.5 x 21.5 cm.

A student of Elgar, Wilhelmj and Sevcik, Hall had a major touring career which included the first performance of Vaughan Williams' "The Lark Ascending" (dedicated to her). (6800)
